Hi, I'm Beth!

My biggest inspiration in art is to paint half as beautifully as mother nature. I truly do walk about with rose coloured glasses on, always staring at the wondrous beauty I see all around me -the rays of golden honey light filtering through leaves, a vibrant shower of a bougainvillea over a garden wall, the soft pastels of the sunrise that make your heart ache, the silver glow of the moon.

I also paint from a few subjects close to my heart - living in a fragile human body, in a fragile world that is constantly degraded and used by people who only take and don't tend to the earth and our souls as they should. I paint from my heartbreak and my joys, because we cannot have one without the other. Perseverance, curiosity and kindness are my cornerstones and I want to show this in my work. ​

Though I have a BA in the arts, I am largely self taught when it comes to my drawing and painting. This is reflected in my works where the more recent originals hold much more depth and wonder, born from many experiments with colour theory, texture and technique.

Each painting or work I create has an honoured place in my journey and I hope you find them as comforting and enchanting as I do.
